Postage & Packaging Costs Removed from RBM shop

Real Baby Milk has today revised all pricings on the website shop to enable us to be able to operate with no Postage & Packaging Costs. "We decided to build in the P&P costs into our product prices as we felt it was much simpler for our customers and it means that the price they see is the price they pay" said Arwen from Real Baby Milk.

Real Baby Milk welcomes new growth charts

The much anticipated arrival of the new WHO Growth charts (the ones in the red book) is here!

For a long time these charts, which are dutifully plotted every time you weigh your baby, have been measuring all babies against the weight of a formula fed baby. Due to there being 15-20% more calories in formula milk, the weight gain is significantly quicker than the natural weight gain of a breastfed baby. The change of these charts is even more significant due to the links to childhood obesity with the feeding of formula to babies.

Breastfeeding Mums say, ‘I would have given up without my partner’s support.’  

Real Baby Milk Managing Director, Arwen Folkes, aged 32, found it incredibly difficult to feed her first baby, Milo.  “I had great support from my husband. Without his encouragement I’d have never got through when it was really challenging in the beginning, without his encouragement I don't think I would have succeeded.”

Supporting Breastfeeding Groups

frugi_logoReal Baby Milk was begun by breastfeeding Mums who were supported and then became peer supporters in breastfeeding groups. Real Baby Milk has developed a thorough understanding of the important role that groups play in the community to support women and their babies. In Cornwall, funded by the Primary Care Trust, Real Baby Milk runs a Peer Support Network, training programme and support for 30 groups and over 150 volunteers.

Reaching more women!

One of our priority aims is to "Reach more women with breastfeeding information and easy access to breastfeeding support". In the last six months, Real Baby Milk has worked to meet this aim in various ways and we're delighted to bring you the update below -
