The number of breastfeeding mums in Bath and North East Somerset is the highest in the UK outside of London and Brighton. New local statistics show the number of mums still breastfeeding when their baby is six to eight weeks old has risen in the area by five per cent to 65 per cent.
The increase comes after Sirona’s health visitors achieved the prestigious UNICEF Baby Friendly Award.
