We have listed a number of place that have signed up to be Breastfeeding Friendly to try and help when you are out and about. These establishments have committed to being welcoming to breastfeeding mothers and so you should be able to feed in peace and comfort!
Breastfeeding mothers are welcome at health centres/GP surgeries, child health clinics, children centres, leisure centres, libraries and swimming pools.
The law is on your side! The Equality Act 2010 makes it clear that its against the law for a woman to get less favourable treatment because she is breastfeeding when receiving services. During the Cornwall Conference 2014, Donna Negus from Sekoya Specialist Employment Services spoke to us about Breastfeeding in Public Places and has kindly shared this fact sheet with us.
