Expressing to help overcome difficulties

Description

Footage shows a short clip explaining how softening the breast tissue before a feed can help a baby to attach when a mum’s breast is very full. Another mum, Jess, explains why hand expressing was very useful to her and Esther explains how being able to hand express effectively helped her get over the early difficulties she and Ned encountered.

The narrator explains how and why hand expressing after a feed can be helpful to avoiding the recurrence of mastitis and mum, Zoe, explains how hand expressing was especially effective for her and how this helped her more than a pump to avoid recurrent engorgement and mastitis.
