Teaching to hand express early milk

Shows Angela and Finn (3 days old and just returned from the NNU) explaining how to hand express and reasons it might useful for mum and baby. The clip shows sterlisation of containers in a hospital setting and explains what most mums find easiest to express into. Angela is taught how to hand express explaining why massage preparation can help, baby Finn is stirring and showing some ready to feed signs! Angela is guided through changing the position of her hand when expressing and how this helps soften her breast tissue in preparation for Finn to feed. The clip ends with Finn feeding in the underarm position on Angela’s now softened breast.
