Why do we need you?
We are a small but passionate team of project workers who would benefit greatly from the added expertise you are able to offer.
What do we need you to do?
We need your expertise to support the Project Managers in their work through regular attendance at our Board Meetings and occasional ‘link’ contacts.
What sort of level of commitment do we need from you?
Our Board Meetings are generally held on the 2nd Monday of alternate months although we have occasionally had to vary this by agreement with Board members in order to accommodate urgent items requiring Board approval. However in order to accommodate the Board Members, we always try to set meeting dates on a rolling programme and at 10.30 am on those dates. The meetings normally take place at our shared office space at Newham in Truro. By doing this we hope that you will find regular attendance at the Board Meetings achievable and easy to plan into your busy diaries.
At these Board Meetings you will be responsible for receiving financial and project reports and for shaping any future direction of the Company’s business/activities.
In addition to this we are asking if you would think about being a special ‘link’ Director to one specific project or area of the business which means that you will be available occasionally to that Project Manager for support, practical help and advice.
There will be a Chair of the Board which up until now has been a rotating chair but the intention it that it is held for a 12 month term. The Chair will be responsible for adding any special items to the mostly standard Agenda.
